ENOS, EuropeActive, FESI, and It’s Great Out There Coalition officially launched the European Physical Activity Alliance coalition (EPAA), on 15 March, during a launch event gathering key experts and representatives of EU and international institutions to exchange on the benefits of health enhancing physical activity.
About the European Physical Activity Alliance
The European Physical Activity Alliance brings together leading European Associations working on physical activity promotion. Physical activity promotion has an enormous untapped potential in terms of health promotion and disease prevention. To reach its full potential there’s a need to collaborate and build partnership across sectors. The European Physical Activity Alliance’s purpose is exactly that: reaching out to and starting a dialogue with stakeholders from the health and other sectors and collaborate on the promotion of health enhancing physical activity.
The European Physical Alliance aims to:
Promote the benefits of physical activity for the physical, social and mental health and wellbeing with policy and decision-makers in Europe
Foster cross-sectoral partnerships with organisations in the field of health-enhancing physical activity such as healthcare, relevant academia, and sport, to bridge the gap between the physical activity and health ecosystems in Europe
Facilitate collaboration between organisations working in the field of health-enhancing physical activity
Exchange and share information on recent developments in the field of health-enhancing physical activity
